Mission Statement
The Beacon Magazine serves as an open platform which the Orthodox Jewish community can use to engage in free speech. We publish writing containing a wide variety of opinions that reflect the diverse views of current and former members of our community. We do not discriminate against writers based on their beliefs or religious practices. If our editors feel that a piece of writing is of relevance to our community, we will unquestionably give it a home.

How We Work
We have five main sections — Features, Opinions, Letters to the Editor, Arts & Culture, and Philosophy. We have an issue every few weeks.
We are open to your ideas and submissions, so feel free to contact us at .
A word about our comments section: The Beacon has chosen to provide a comments section to foster debate and conversation among our readers. Comments that abuse this privilege and resort to character attacks or personal insults are subject to removal.
